What Makes the Thunderbolt Series Different

Both the mechanical and electronic lock options carry UL listing, which certifies the lock itself against defined manipulation and drilling standards. A ball bearing drill plate sits over the lock body and turns under a bit rather than letting it cut. A spring-loaded relocker deadbolts the mechanism if the lock is punched out, and the F-4 anti-tamper clutched handle spins free rather than transferring force to the interlock. Each of those is a separate barrier, which is what layered protection actually means.
The body is 7 gauge steel, the heaviest Rhino builds and roughly twice the thickness of the 12 gauge bodies at the mid tier. That thickness is what the RSC certification was tested against, so the mark and the material are connected rather than independent claims. A full coverage fire lining runs through the door frame in addition to the body. Weight follows directly from the steel, which is why these models run from 1,154 to 1,573 pounds.
The patented SafeX system interlocks the door to the frame using Grade 8 anchor studs rather than conventional boltwork. Will 160 minutes protect papers I cannot replace?
