Georgia's Oldest Safe Retailer. Built to Protect What Matters Most.
The SafeMarket has been protecting Atlanta families and businesses since 1978. Three showrooms. 30,000 installations. Nearly five decades of expertise in the market where we started.
Our Philosophy
We Don't Sell Safes. We Help You Protect What Can't Be Replaced.
All a safe ever does is buy time. Time against a burglar who wants to move fast. Time against a fire that climbs faster than you expect. Time against a flood that finds every low point in your home. What we do is help you understand how much time you actually need, matched to the things you're actually protecting.
Protection isn't a product you buy once. It's a decision you revisit as your life changes. What you need to protect today isn't what you'll need to protect in ten years. Our job isn't to put a safe in your home. It's to be a resource for every stage of that journey.
By the Numbers
Forty-eight years of doing one thing, in one place.
Years in Business
Georgia's oldest and longest-running safe retail operation. Founded in 1978. Still independent. Still family-owned. Still in Atlanta.
Safes Installed
From basic residential placements to 10,000-pound high-security vaults. Our in-house team has handled installations most dealers have never attempted.
On Display, 3 Showrooms
Norcross, Kennesaw, and Fayetteville. Every safe on the floor can be opened, examined, and compared side by side. No shipping required to see what you're buying.
State Service Area
Georgia, southern Tennessee, eastern Alabama, northwestern North Carolina, and southern South Carolina. Over 700 municipalities. One in-house team.
Since 1978
A Family Business. A Generational Commitment.
The SafeMarket was founded in Atlanta in 1978, when the city's safe industry was still young and most customers could only find what sat on a sporting goods floor. The founders built something different: a specialized safe retailer where the conversation mattered more than the transaction.
When the second generation stepped in, they inherited not just the business but the principle behind it. That the people who walk through the door deserve a guide, not a salesperson. That the right answer is the right answer, even when it means a smaller safe or a lower price point.
Today, nearly five decades later, that principle still drives every conversation in every showroom. The business has grown. The inventory has expanded. The service area now spans five states. The principle has not changed.
What to Expect
What to Expect When You Work with Us
What We Bring to Every Conversation
Does
- A real conversation, not a pitch. We ask questions before we show products.
- Brand-agnostic guidance. We carry four brands and will tell you honestly which one fits your situation.
- Honest answers, even when the honest answer is a smaller safe or a different approach entirely.
- A relationship that doesn't end at installation. We service what we sell.
- Clarity on size, security level, and fire rating before you spend a dollar.
What You Won't Find Here
Doesn't
- Salespeople who have never opened a safe
- Pressure to buy the most expensive product on the floor
- Commission-driven recommendations disconnected from your actual need
- Staff who treat safe delivery like furniture delivery
- A one-time transaction with no follow-up service capability
How We Work
The Guide Mentality
We think in terms of problems, not products.
Most safe dealers lead with what's on the floor. We lead with questions. Where is the safe going? What are you protecting? Have you been through a break-in, a flood, or a house fire? What does this protection need to do for you in five years, not just today?
The more you tell us, the better we can help.
Our job is to narrow your options down to the two or three models that actually fit your situation. Once we know your priorities, we start eliminating everything that doesn't fit before we ever walk you to a product. By the time you see a safe, it belongs on the short list.
We're not optimizing for one sale.
Our customers come back. They come back when they move, when they need a lock changed, when they're ready to upgrade. That long view changes how we advise. We'd rather you leave with the right safe than a bigger one.
Credentials
What Makes The SafeMarket Different
Factory Certified Dealer
We hold direct dealer certifications from American Security, Liberty Safe, and Rhino Metals. Factory certification means direct product training, direct inventory access, and a standing relationship with the manufacturers behind the products we recommend.
Certified Technicians On Staff
Our technicians hold credentials from the Safe and Vault Technicians Association, covering safe opening, safe repair, lock diagnostics, and moving and installation. When you call for service, you're talking to someone with documented, tested expertise.
In-House Delivery and Installation
We don't subcontract. Our delivery and installation team is our team. They know the inventory, they know the access challenges of Georgia homes, and they carry the equipment the job actually requires. Every installation is planned before the truck leaves.
Full-Spectrum Inventory
RSC residential safes through TL-30x6 high-security commercial vaults. We stock the full range and advise across every security level. If you've outgrown what box stores carry, this is where the conversation starts.
Lock Manufacturer Certifications
In addition to safe brand certifications, we hold credentials from Sergeant and Greenleaf, Dormakaba, and Legard. Lock service, combination changes, and electronic lock diagnostics are handled in-house by certified personnel.
After-Sale Support That Actually Exists
Safe moving, lock changes, combination resets, diagnostic repair, and trade-in programs. The relationship doesn't end at installation. Most dealers don't offer what happens after the sale. We built our business around it.
Community
A Business That Stays in the Community
The SafeMarket has operated in the Atlanta area for nearly five decades. That longevity comes with a responsibility to the community that built it.
We run food drives with local food banks, toy drives for foster families and boys ranches across Georgia and Alabama, and ongoing support programs for law enforcement, first responders, and active-duty military. Our manufacturer partnerships with Liberty Safe and Rhino Metals extend that support through their programs for EMS, police, and veterans.
Community involvement isn't a marketing line. It's how we've operated since 1978.
A conversation costs you nothing. The right safe is worth everything.
