How much does it cost to move a safe in Atlanta?
Pricing depends on the safe's size and weight, the difficulty of the move (ie: basement location, how many flights of stairs are involved, anchoring and bolting services). Submit a quote request and we'll get back to you within 24 business hours.
Can you move a gun safe upstairs or downstairs?
Yes. We use stair-climbing machines and heavy-duty dollies built for exactly this. Most stair jobs are routine for our crew, including multi-flight moves in homes with tight turns.
Do you move safes outside of the Greater Metro Atlanta area?
We serve all of Georgia. We serve Macon, Athens, Greensboro, Cartersville, Douglasville, Villa Rica, Newnan, Thomaston, Lavonia, Dalton, Lagrange, Blue Ridge; if it's in Georgia, we can help provide you service. We also service Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and Northern Florida. The Greater Atlanta metro area is where are stores are located (Norcross, Kennesaw, and Fayetteville) but we absolutely service surrounding communities in Georgia. Can you deliver a safe I purchased elsewhere?
We do not offer pickup services from other retailers or chain stores. If you've purchased a safe from another retailer, manufacturer, or private seller, and have it delivered into your garage, we can provide move services into the residence or business by filling out a move request.
How do you protect my home during the safe move?
Every safe delivery and move begins with proper planning. Before scheduling service, we require photos and/or video of the entire delivery route, stairs, doorways, flooring, and final placement area. This allows our team to confirm the correct equipment, identify potential access challenges, and prepare for the service before the move begins. For the service day, we protect floors with runners, install door jamb protectors and corner guards where needed and use equipment appropriate for the size and weight of the safe. Once the job is complete, all protective materials are removed and the work area is left clean and orderly.
Is it safe to move a safe myself?
You can move some small handgun safes yourself, but moving a full-size safe without professional equipment and experience can be dangerous. Most full-size safes weigh 400 to more than 1,000 pounds, making proper equipment, training, and handling essential. Attempting to move a heavy safe without the right tools can result in personal injury, damaged flooring, compromised locks, or damage to the safe itself. In many cases, the cost of repairing that damage exceeds the price of hiring an experienced professional safe mover from the start.
