The Guarantee

Damaged in a fire while you own it, FireKing sends you a new one at no charge, for life. They can promise that because they test these themselves, in their own lab in New Albany, Indiana, recognized by UL and Intertek as a satellite testing center. Seventy five years of running their own fires is what stands behind the guarantee. Most chests at this price stop at a one year warranty and end there.

What Are You Protecting?

Choose this model if:

You need to protect original paper documents from both fire and water, want something light enough to grab and go, and would rather have a lifetime fire-replacement guarantee than take a chance on a one-year warranty.

Best For:

Home papers, business records, and a go-bag of originals you want ready to grab in the time it takes to reach the driveway. Everything lays flat, so documents stay crisp and ready to hand over when someone asks for them.

Not Ideal For:

Backup drives or other digital media - this chest is engineered around the 350 degree threshold that protects paper, not the lower thresholds electronics need. Ask us about a dedicated media-rated container instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a SureSeal chest?
A sealed, insulated document chest built for two threats at once. UL tests it to hold the inside under 350 degrees for the rated time, and the seal keeps sprinkler water and standing water outside. A key lock and a carry handle finish it.
What is the difference between the two sizes?
Two things move together. The larger takes legal documents flat where the smaller handles letter and A4, and it carries a full hour of fire rating against thirty minutes. At 56 pounds against 29, both still lift easily.
What does UL Class 350 mean?
It means the inside stays under 350 degrees for the full rated time. Paper begins to char right around there, so 350 is the number that matters for documents. FireKing runs these tests in its own UL and Intertek recognized lab, and all a fire rating buys you is time. Here you choose thirty minutes or a full hour.
Is the SureSeal waterproof?
Both sizes seal against submersion to one meter. A sprinkler head letting go overhead, a burst pipe, or standing water after the fire hose all stay outside. That matters, because water ruins the paper a fire never reached.
Can I store a flash drive or a hard drive in it?
This chest is engineered around paper and the 350 degree threshold that protects it. Digital media has its own protection standard and its own containers. Call us with what you are storing and we will point you to the right one.
Who tests these chests?
FireKing does, in their own lab in New Albany, Indiana, recognized by UL and Intertek as a satellite testing center. That is unusual. Most brands ship a unit to an outside lab now and then, while FireKing runs fires on their own equipment as part of building the product.
